Craft Ideas for Christmas:
One of the best decoration ideas would be to beautify your Christmas tree with gracious ornaments. You should use glittery red pompoms to decorate the tree. Make ornaments using aluminum pie plates. You can have crescent moon and star cut-outs to help jazz up the tree. Create a hole at the top of each cut-out to hang it to the tree using a silver thread. You can also use small nails to create indentations on the cut outs and enhance their look. Thermocol, which is a commonly used material, can be used to make stars as well. Further paint them using glitter paint.
Paste photographs on hard card stocks and trim them into various ornament shapes. They will make good whimsical decorations for that tabletops or mantels.
Use papier-mâché to create some letters to show a Christmas greeting the family name. Place them on a window sill or mantel and get your guests spellbound.
Sandwich a poster-board circle between two decorated felt circles and sew them together, with a blanket stitch. Cut a piece of dowel to form the stick and insert it in the bottom of the lollipop. Glue a ribbon bow towards the dowel and place these tasty felt lollipops inside a vase filled with marshmallows.
Have a block of florist’s foam and cover it with button mums. With the centre of each flower, stick a pearl-head pin to secure the flower towards the foam. To finish it, tie a red velvet ribbon round the gift or simply glue it to the top.
Tied in a Bow
Remove your colorful pillows or buy some new pillows in holiday colors. Wrap them in colorful ribbons, to make them look like Christmas packages.
Holy-and-Ivy Kissing Ball
Cut an extended piece of ribbon and glue it to the peak of a foam ball. Cut different lengths of holy and ivy. Pin them to the foam ball, using U-shape pins. Tie an eight-loop bow from the ribbon and trail the ends from the remaining bow through the decorated ball, pinning it firmly in place. Use this ball to put in the hanger.
Decorate you with a cardboard wreath. You can make perfect use of old toilet paper tubes. Take cardboard tubes of toilet tissue rolls or paper towel tubes. Also, have a sheet of cardboard backing, newspaper sheets, 1/4 inch red pompoms, red and green paint, glue, pencil, stapler and scissors, a large lid and a medium-sized lid, to follow circles. Here is the procedure.
